are you in or out?

Ok so I stumbled across this website for the moms that are obsessed with Twilight. I am shocked I hadnt heard about it. I thought Jana would have posted it for sure. Anyways..it is Twilightmoms.com. It is a website for all of us older moms that love the books. Kind of fun. They are talking about who is having a "breaking Dawn" party. My sisters in law had a new moon party and it was a big production. But this website is selling some cute shirts that you could wear for your party if you are having one.

The question I have is...who is in? I am going to order one just because the shirt is kind of cute...but is anyone else out there interested in getting together for the new book? So go check out the website and the shirts. We have to order like really soon so go check it out and let me know who is in!

CALIFORNIA

This a long over due post and will be really long. Back at the end of May we went out to California to celebrate with Rachelle for her great accomplishment! She graduated from Long Beach State with a degree in Elementary Education (I think). Anyways it was so great to be able to share such a big event in her life! She is such a doll and my kids adore her. She is the closet cousin to kyle and kailey in age and so they have always been really close to her. You can tell by the pictures that she is beautiful too! So one of the pictures is of Rob''s sister berta and her family. She has 3 girls and is the mother of Rebecca, Robyn and Rachelle.
Rachelle came back to arizona with us and stayed for a few days. We love having her over. She is so much fun to be around. I also love it because she gives kailey good advice and is a great example to her. You know how sometimes your daughters think you don't know what you are talking about and think they can't talk to you, well I know that kailey feels comfortable talking to rachelle and I am thankful for that!
We also took my nephew Lawson with us to California and I know that Kyle was glad. It is always fun for the kids to have a cousin around. I think that he had a good time too. Some highlights of our trip were great shopping at Fashion Island and a day to myself of shopping at South Coast Plaza and also I found a new yogurt place that I loved. It is called Red Mango. I hear they are coming to arizona and I am really hoping that is the case because I loved it! It was a nice trip for our family. It will probably be the only vacation we really take due to all the things going on during the summer, so we were thankful to have a reason to make time to get away!

We stayed in a VERY nice marriott time share thanks to Josh. He totally hooked us up which we appreciate. The place was a really big 2 bedroom 2 bath, with a full kitchen and family room. It worked out great because we gave Kyle, Kailey and Lawson one of the rooms. It had a bed and a fold out. Rob and I took the Master which was great. In the family room there was a pull out and so we slept the little kids out on it. The views were amazing and so relaxing just sitting out on the patio taking in the beautiful views. Rob took the older kids Deep sea fishing which I think they all really liked a lot, other than kailey and lawson stayed up all night and so when they got up at 4am it was really hard for them. I just love visiting California and family!

After graduation we went back to berta's house to celebrate. We always have a great time with the family. Bill went back to New York and so he isnt in any of the pictures. Now that I think of it I don't have any of Stephanie either. I need to do a better job and making sure to get pictures of everyone.

We took the family to Knotts Berry Farm. We had a great day. The weather was perfect! Rob and the older kids loved the roller coasters. I am not a big fan of all the huge scary roller coasters....I am a big chicken in my old age. There was a ride that I LOVED though...it was called the pony express. It was a complete blast. You straddle these fake horses and a support pushes your back down so it looks like you are leaning forward and it takes off. It isnt too fast or big or scary just a a great fun ride! For some reason we didnt take any pictures of it.

We went to the beach which is always so much fun. I thought the water was freezing, but my little kids got right in. I also thought it was a little cute and funny that the 2 17 year old boys were the ones out making sand castles! Gotta love that!

Happy Birthday Rob!

I am way behind on my posting...But today is Rob's birthday so I wanted to write a little post about him....but first....
I just wanted to ask...has anyone had problems with their kids and staplers? Kaden has been playing with a new stapler we got wasting tons of staples! A few minutes ago I went in to there room and realized that he had taken the stapler in there. I started looking around thinking...hmm I wonder if he did anything bad with the stapler, didn't find anything and too the stapler back to my room. A few minutes later makenna comes walking in and Kade had stapled a couple of books together. So our book "A camping spree with Mr. Magee" was completely stapled shut with like 20 staples. The other book wasnt as bad. So fustrating! I have a feeling that little boy is going to keep me on my toes until he leaves graduates. Anyways...now back to rob.
So Rob is turning the big "41" today. I havent even talked to him because he has been at scout camp since wednesday. I hope that he is having a good time! Kaden seems to be lost without him. He is constantly asking is daddy coming home now. We are getting ready to go run and get a few things for him for Father's day and wash his truck for him etc. So happy birthday honey...we won't get to see you until tomorrow sometime but know we have missed you and hope that you had a great day with the scouts! Sacrifice brings blessings and I know it was a sacrifice for you to go all week and help the boys. That is one of the things that I admire about you! Sometimes your generosity amazes me! I am typing this from robs computer and he doesnt have hardly any pictures of him, so this one will have to do. The lighting isnt the greatest but still handsome as ever!
I love you!

Thai food and good friends

Do you like Thai food? Have you ever hear of........

This is a bitter sweet post for me. But first the sweet. I have found a thai food place that I absolutely LOVE! I have been so addicted to it I have become a regular. I have tried other thai places in the past, but this place is the best. Everything that I have tried there I have liked. It is the bomb! So if you are ever on the corner of power and baseline and feel like Thai I would suggest it!

Now to the bitter...This is a picture of me and my friend anne. She is the one that introduced me to Tum Nuk. She had been telling me about it and I always blew her off but one day we met at the park and she brought it and I have been hooked ever since. So this night was our last night eating together at Tum Nuk Thai. Anne and her family moved to Utah last week. It was a very quick decision so there wasnt much time to process that she was actually leaving. I kept pretending that she wasnt. So we met up one night a few days before she was leaving and I was going on vacation. It was a great way to say good bye! I did really good until we were leaving and I fell apart. I was giving a good bye hug to a friend that has done alot for me and my family. We used to do everything together were unseparable...even our husbands liked to hang out. Then they moved and it was a little harder for us to see each other. Lately we have been trying to make more of an effort to make the time to get together with the kids and then they decided to move. I was so sad, still am very sad. I told her that the picture that the little boy at Thum Nuk thai took of us wasnt very good. Our double chins and all, but we both laughed and said...this is us now. So I am posting it. While I am very sad, I feel blessed to have found such a good friend. Here are a few things I love about her and will miss..
*That we immediately clicked when I first met her. I knew her sister first but from the moment we met it was always so comfortable.
*Her OCD obsessive ways.
*Her music abilities
*Her laugh...it is contagious and you can't help smile when you hear it.
*She is the most thrifty friend I know and can make anything old become nice and new.
*The way she always loved makenna...especially when she had to get up so early to take her for me.
*She is a great mother.
*Our late night drives to a store
*Getting up in the wee hours of the morning to go garage sale shopping
*The fact that she is always organizing
*She is the best listener!
*I think I will miss most just talking to her. She is always so concerned and gives good advice.
I have many great memories of our times together and hope that we will somehow continue to make more memories even though we are a state apart. I love her and her family and wish them the very best! Now if I can only get her to blog!
