Kaden

This weekend Rob took the girls to California and Kaden and I stayed home all by our lonesomes. I have been determined to spend as much quality time with him as possible. Saturday morning I got up and took him to the church. They were cleaning it and asked for any volunteers to come. Kade didn't really want to but I was determined to teach him how to serve! We went out to eat, took skip to the dog park and had some great time together. I thought this picture was fitting because for alot of the weekend we have done nothing but play catch. He lives and breathes football! He cracks me up listening to him as he talks to himself making his own plays etc. While I was playing catch with him I got a very bright idea. I decided to change his reward for good behavior at school to this. If he comes home and has kept his hands to himself and done good at school I promised him that we would play catch with him for 30 minutes every day. You should have seen his face light up! I am hoping it was inspiration and this could be the trick to motivate him! Wish us luck!

Christmas

We were lucky enough to go home for Christmas this year. I really love when that happens, other than hauling all the presents. Kailey, Makenna, Kaden and myself went up a few days before Rob and Kyle. On our way we were excited to see SNOW! It was snowing in Forest Lakes and so we pulled over on the side of the road for some playing in the snow! Brrrr it was cold! The kids had fun with their cousins as always, going to movies, playing football outside in the cold, riding bikes around town to find these football stickers. I think the kids spent all of their money trying to get a sticker from every NFL team. You will be happy to know they are now stuck all over Kadens room and bed. Oh joy!

Kailey took my camera one day and these were some of the pictures she took. Pretty good eye! Especially the one of Kaden peeing outside. What are the odds!

Growing up one of our family traditions since both of my grandparents lived in town was, on Christmas Eve we would go to my Grandpa and Grandma Nielsen's and Christmas morning we would go to my Papa and Grandma Cowleys. I was happy to go on Christmas Eve over to see my Grandma. She is the best. Does she not look fabulous for her age? She is 94 years old, almost 95. I love her beyond words. I love hearing her tell stories of olden times, or just her memories in general. She fascinates me. I sat at her house as everyone was talking and just reflected on the many many memories that I had at her house growing up. Almost made me want to start writing a life history of my life because my memory is failing and I don't want to forget some of the things that I thought was fun in my life. She is starting to get a little forgetful and losing her hearing a bit, but she is always fun and entertainment to me!

I personally love just being home with family all around. We had night after night of games, food and enjoying each others company. We played minute to win it which the kids loved, name that tune tv edition, and others that escape my mind at the moment. Guess this is why I need to blog when things happen!

Christmas Eve was traditional Nativity done by cousins. I love that my family still does this and happy that my little one as annoyed as he was having to do it, got right in to the spirit of things! Isn't he such a cute little shepherd? Kailey was Mary and Makenna was also a Shepherd. Kyle opted out since he is too big. It was a great night full of remembering what Christmas is all about!

Christmas morning was exciting and surprising! Santa was very good to the kids. It was filled with lots of fun things...Scooters, footballs, cars, games and ipads for the big ones. Everyone was very happy and SURPRISED! Santa is sneaky! Love this picture of my cute husband! It always cracks me up....Rob has to get up and get dressed, brush his teeth before anyone can come out and see what Santa left. Everyone else is always in their pajamas, stinky breath and all! Guess this is a Foxcroft tradition? I love him so!

My beautiful daughter Kailey just had a birthday! She is now 19. Actually both of my older kids are 19 right now for a couple of months. How did that happen?!
Oh how I love this girl! She is a bright spot to me in my life. I picked these pictures because she is so funny and can be really silly. I picked the one with suit case because she is getting ready to move out and I thought the picture was perfect. She has a big smile on her face and is ready to go and I am so sad! I am not ready for her to move off and grow up. I know this is purely selfish on my part, but really she is such a help to me and I enjoy her company so much I don't want that to end. But such is life. I am happy for her and her new adventures, but hope it doesn't mean I will not see her as much!

Kailey has such a fun sense of humor. She can have you laughing hysterically. Really you should hear her answer the phone at my house! I laugh every time! She is naturally beautiful and hardly wears any make up. She is talented in sports and is getting ready to coach her sisters basketball team. She is great at saving her money which is a great quality! She will be an amazing catch for someone. I am happy for her to go forward in life! I know she is bound to do amazing things, just wish she would stay home for a little while longer! What was I thinking when I left home at 17? My parents must have died a thousand deaths! I am thankful to be her mom and have been blessed to have her in my life. I love her beyond measure!
