Beach Time

One of the days when we were in California we were able to hit the beach. Rob went with his brother and friends to Knotts Berry Farm and we along with fred,sandra and family went and hung out at the beach. I love just going and sitting and listening to the ocean and taking in the breeze that comes off the surf. I had a fabulous time! Fred and I got completely sunburned which was miserable at times! We had a great day. A few days after the beach, we went to disneyland and california adventures for two days and guess what? I didn't take my camera at all! Can you believe that? I just wasn't in the mood to haul it around and worry about losing it. Since we don't have a child that uses a stroller anymore I was too lazy to carry it around. But we did have a good time going, although it was so completely crowded I started getting really annoyed with the crowds. We went on a monday and tuesday thinking the crowds would be better. Boy were we wrong. We really enjoyed ourselves otherwise. I enjoyed spending time with my brother and his family. We don't get to do that often and so I enjoyed having them with us!







Kaden at the beach. He really had a good time. The ocean was a little intimidating to him and I like that. A little fear in my son is a good thing since he usually is fearless!






Glad kyle will still come on the family trips! He is such a good son. I love him so much! He and ryder had a fun time making sand castles. I was quite entertained watching these big boys get so in to the sand!






Fred and Sandra's family. I feel bad I didn't get a picture of rainey, but if you look in the background of some pictures you can see him. We sure enjoyed being able to vacation with them. They had just dropped lawson off at the MTC and came over to california to hang out with us. Fred wasn't feeling well that day and got so sunburned. We tried to keep him covered up. He was able to get some rest and so I was glad he was able to rest some. We love their family and their kids!

We were sitting there enjoying the waves and the ocean breeze and I started noticing a gathering of people a little down the way. So I decided to walk and see what was going on. This poor sea lion was trying its best to get back out of the surf and just couldn't do it. So up came the lion and beached awhile to rest until it could get its strength back and start on its way. Pretty cute. It just layed there while everyone admired its beauty!

Josh and Rachelle's wedding

We went to California in June for Josh and Rachelles wedding. It was nothing less than fabulous! You could tell that Rachelle had every little detail planned and knew just what she wanted. I was quite impressed! Kailey was in the wedding and had so much fun hanging out with rachelle. She ended up going out the week before the wedding and spent the entire week helping and hanging out with rachelle. She loved it so much she now wants to move to california! The church they were married in was beautiful. The ceremony was done by Eric who is married to robyn who is one of rachelle's sisters. It was a very nice ceremony and the reception was just as cool. They had it in a place that stores old cars and new sports cars. It was fun to walk around and check things out. We all had such a great time. Rachelle looked so beautiful! So did Kailey! It is nice that they have stayed so close all of these years!
