I finally graduated!

Today is an amazing day. I finally graduated from Physical Therapy. I can't tell you how happy I am that my back is stronger and I didn't need to burn my nerve to get better. I can tell that I am still at slight risk and need to stretch and continue to strengthen everyday so that I don't slip back in to pain.
I am still working on my posture which is attributing to my arthritis...I have always had bad posture. I actually remember in 7th and 8th grad my mom bought me some contraption that I had to put with both arms in it and it would help hold my back up. I remember playing a basketball game against round valley and everyone was making comments about my brace. So I stopped wearing it. Dumb....but strange I remember that of all things.
I meet with the specialist next week and am going to tell him that I am holding off on the denervation to my SI joints. I am thrilled I didn't have to go through that! So today I am going to celebrate my strength and improving posture and let anything get me down!

A few things we have been up to

Our good friend Kim was trying to sleep one night when she felt something and then a sting and found a scorpion in her bed. As you can imagine she was freaked out which is what brought on the scorpion hunting. We all met in her development with black lights in hand and started looking for them. I was shocked at how many we found. A lot were in cracks and so we couldnt get them. But you can see we killed 10 or so that night. We smashed so many it doesnt look like many but it was! Kailey and Kim have gone again and killed over 100. They decided to go around her whole development in the walk ways and get to work. Wish I would have had the camera that night and seen all of them in the bucket. Yuck!

Kyle and Kailey have started Cross country. The season seems to be going well. Kailey won her first metal which she was happy about. Her knees are still giving her a little bit of a problem but overall she is able to run so that is great. I think she just needs to strengthen them now and she will be back in full force!

My Aunt Lee was kind enough and brought me some sweet corn from up on the mountain. So for FHE we blanched it and got it all bagged up so we can have yummy corn over the winter! It is so good!

Kaden started Preschool. I can't believe that all of my kids are in school now. I am just thankful it is only 3 days a week so I can relish my last year with him!

We went to St. Johns for the county fair. We had a great time hanging out with family. We actually were so busy working on our yard that we only got to go to the fair on Saturday night. We took the kids and went to the carnival. We had a great time and was happy that my dad would go on rides with the kids so I didn't have to! I got to see a lot of old classmates which was nice and fun too!

I was cracking up one day when my 2 nephews came pumping up to Chris's house. Seems Kace is Levi's slave driver...Only in St. Johns. The others are pictures of my adorable nieces Kaitlin, Ava and Kansas.

Holy mud!

Here is yet another fun yw/ym activity we had last month. The girls wanted to play mud football but that wasn't approved so they came up with mud obstacle course. We have the coolest Young Woman President ever. She agreed to let them use her back yard. The girls went and tilled up the dirt and soaked it with water. As you can see by the pictures they had a lot of fun! There was mud being flung everywhere. It was fun to watch them. I have no idea which team won, by the end of it everyone was running around throwing mud. Oh to be young and carefree again! Hope you enjoy the pictures! I don't know how Zoe managed to not get an ounce of mud on her beautiful face!

Everyone went over to Kim and got hosed off. Once they were semi clean they hopped in to the pool to wash off more. I think they all had fun.
