This is a bitter sweet post for me. But first the sweet. I have found a thai food place that I absolutely LOVE! I have been so addicted to it I have become a regular. I have tried other thai places in the past, but this place is the best. Everything that I have tried there I have liked. It is the bomb! So if you are ever on the corner of power and baseline and feel like Thai I would suggest it!
Now to the bitter...This is a picture of me and my friend anne. She is the one that introduced me to Tum Nuk. She had been telling me about it and I always blew her off but one day we met at the park and she brought it and I have been hooked ever since. So this night was our last night eating together at Tum Nuk Thai. Anne and her family moved to Utah last week. It was a very quick decision so there wasnt much time to process that she was actually leaving. I kept pretending that she wasnt. So we met up one night a few days before she was leaving and I was going on vacation. It was a great way to say good bye! I did really good until we were leaving and I fell apart. I was giving a good bye hug to a friend that has done alot for me and my family. We used to do everything together were unseparable...even our husbands liked to hang out. Then they moved and it was a little harder for us to see each other. Lately we have been trying to make more of an effort to make the time to get together with the kids and then they decided to move. I was so sad, still am very sad. I told her that the picture that the little boy at Thum Nuk thai took of us wasnt very good. Our double chins and all, but we both laughed and said...this is us now. So I am posting it. While I am very sad, I feel blessed to have found such a good friend. Here are a few things I love about her and will miss..
*That we immediately clicked when I first met her. I knew her sister first but from the moment we met it was always so comfortable.
*Her OCD obsessive ways.
*Her music abilities
*Her laugh...it is contagious and you can't help smile when you hear it.
*She is the most thrifty friend I know and can make anything old become nice and new.
*The way she always loved makenna...especially when she had to get up so early to take her for me.
*She is a great mother.
*Our late night drives to a store
*Getting up in the wee hours of the morning to go garage sale shopping
*The fact that she is always organizing
*She is the best listener!
*I think I will miss most just talking to her. She is always so concerned and gives good advice.
I have many great memories of our times together and hope that we will somehow continue to make more memories even though we are a state apart. I love her and her family and wish them the very best! Now if I can only get her to blog!

Whatever, we were going to eat there tonight. My friend Kim and her husband are obsessed with it. I always hear her order a number 38 number 40 and pad thai to go. We still have not been. Soon!
Awww! What a sweet post! I hate it when friends move too, especially when it's in another state. It's always better for the ones that leave, but not for the ones left behind.
And no, I didn't "really" set up an airfare fund. That was my attempt at being funny. I should have set one up tho, just to see who my REAL friends are :) JK
PS I LOVE Thai food too! They have THE BEST thai in Haleiwa, here in Hawaii on the island Oahu. It's a 45 minute drive there, but worth the gas. Seriously, all the BYU college students go there. It's a MUST DO while you're here. It's absolutely DELICIOUS!!!
It's hard to make good friends when you're an adult. There are so many other things you have to factor into the friendship. I forgot Anne and Randon still lived in the valley. How sad that they're moving! Change is always hard. Oh, I've never tried Thia food, so maybe we can go to your place when I come down next time.
Good for you! We love Thai too. We'll go now for sure. And It always just SUCKS to loose a friend. I feel for you. Change is terrible sometimes!
I should try that place!! Always looking for something new! That was a sweet post!
