Visitor in Town.

My sister in law Bunnie came to visit us! We were very excited to have her come and stay! The weekend started off with so much fun! Rob and I too her to Tum Nuk Thai for lunch which is one of our favs! She enjoyed it as well...that night rob wasn't in the mood to go out so we didn't let him spoil our evening. I took bunnie over to Joes Barbeque for dinner and then we shopped a little at Trader Joes. We had such a great time. It was nice to visit with her with no distractions from the kids.
She came to church with us on Sunday and then she fixed a great dinner of tri-tip for her little brother. It is one of rob's favorite family meals and she was kind enough to make it for him since I don't.

Monday I got up at 4:30 and went to boot camp. We ran almost 3 miles that morning which I was so proud of myself. I had no idea that I could do that. I usually stop when I am running and with a little help from friends and a trainer I kept on. I came home and everyone was still sleeping. Nice I was able to relax a bit too.

Tuesday went to boot camp and worked on our cores. I still don't have much of one but I have been trying. I can't remember what we did each day, but it consisted of taking kids to swim at Shepard pool which was a lot of fun. Shopping. Good food..hanging out at the pool and just enjoying time together. I went to work on THursday and was in so much pain I thought I was going to die. I guess the combination of boot camp and work wearing the lead just made my back go in to fits. I called in to work friday. There was no way that I could work. I could hardly stand. So pretty much the rest of the time I was down and out. I wasn't in the mood to do much of anything. I just wanted my back pain to go away. I feel bad that she had to be here when that all happened. But she of course was a good sport and just hung out with us.

She did start to teach makenna how to crochet. Makenna thought it was the coolest. Actually makenna loved everything about bunnie. I think she was her side kick most of the stay. Bunnie would go in and read stories to them at night. She would play pretend with kaden during the day. They went on many adventures together! She even tried to teach kailey to sew. We went out and let kailey pick out the fabric to make a basic skirt. Kailey just wasn't in to it unfortunately. Oh well someday I am sure she will regret not learning! I know that I have said before on my blog how amazing bunnie is, but it is true. She is one of the most multi talented people I know. She has the gift of gab. She can talk to ANYONE and put you at ease. I think she made a lot of friends while she was here! I appreciate her sharing her talents with me and my family. She was tons of fun to have! Hopefully we will get to see her in August again!

I am going to post a few pictures of the crocheting she did. She made us these adorable little place mats. She also starting making makenna a beenie. She took makenna to the store and let her pick out what color she wanted. As you can see by the picture it was very bright!

Bunnie decided to help makenna make something out of a cookbook. Makenna was in heaven. She LOVES to cook or learn about baking etc. I think that bunnie should start up kids classes because she is so patient and kind! They ended up making these brownies from scratch and pudding. You layer the brownie and pudding in a cup and put a popsicle stick in it and freeze it. I didn't try the finished product but the brownies were yum!

Thanks for coming and staying bunnie...We love you! Hopefully next time I can be in a better mood!

Rach,
Isnt funny how the best visits are wish family and friends. What a wonderful gift God gave us. I treasure my family and friends. I am so sorry your back is troubling you again. I was hoping that was getting solved.
Summer is just about over and then it is back to it again. I will be sad to see it go. It was a good time. Hope you can say that too, dispite everything. It is the little things that bring the most joy. Time. The rest doesnt really matter.

Holy cow Rach! 3 miles is so good. I was just thinking of trying that on Thursday. I just need to break through the mind barrier that tells you, "stop! You can't do this!". How's your back feeling these days. Did you see I posted some pics from the rodeo? Can't wait to see you Fri. night. HAHA.
