I finally graduated!

Today is an amazing day. I finally graduated from Physical Therapy. I can't tell you how happy I am that my back is stronger and I didn't need to burn my nerve to get better. I can tell that I am still at slight risk and need to stretch and continue to strengthen everyday so that I don't slip back in to pain.
I am still working on my posture which is attributing to my arthritis...I have always had bad posture. I actually remember in 7th and 8th grad my mom bought me some contraption that I had to put with both arms in it and it would help hold my back up. I remember playing a basketball game against round valley and everyone was making comments about my brace. So I stopped wearing it. Dumb....but strange I remember that of all things.
I meet with the specialist next week and am going to tell him that I am holding off on the denervation to my SI joints. I am thrilled I didn't have to go through that! So today I am going to celebrate my strength and improving posture and let anything get me down!

Yay for you!! That is so neat! Cassie had scoliosis and had to wear a body brace from the neck to the waist for 2 years in high school :( Poor kid! It was awful, but it helped straighten out her spine. It's not perfect, but it worked.

I have bad posture too! I think it runs in the family. Ha ha.

Glad you are feeling better. I've been impressed with your dedication to health and fitness. Please tell me you still drink Coke and eat junk food every once in a while at least!

That's awesome! I know how hard recouping from a Back injury can be. Glad you didn't have to have the surgery, that's great. I just straightend up my posture as I read that, too. Way to go!
