My beautiful daughter Kailey just had a birthday! She is now 19. Actually both of my older kids are 19 right now for a couple of months. How did that happen?!
Oh how I love this girl! She is a bright spot to me in my life. I picked these pictures because she is so funny and can be really silly. I picked the one with suit case because she is getting ready to move out and I thought the picture was perfect. She has a big smile on her face and is ready to go and I am so sad! I am not ready for her to move off and grow up. I know this is purely selfish on my part, but really she is such a help to me and I enjoy her company so much I don't want that to end. But such is life. I am happy for her and her new adventures, but hope it doesn't mean I will not see her as much!
Kailey has such a fun sense of humor. She can have you laughing hysterically. Really you should hear her answer the phone at my house! I laugh every time! She is naturally beautiful and hardly wears any make up. She is talented in sports and is getting ready to coach her sisters basketball team. She is great at saving her money which is a great quality! She will be an amazing catch for someone. I am happy for her to go forward in life! I know she is bound to do amazing things, just wish she would stay home for a little while longer! What was I thinking when I left home at 17? My parents must have died a thousand deaths! I am thankful to be her mom and have been blessed to have her in my life. I love her beyond measure!

Such a poingant time when they grow up and leave. I'm now to the point that only Connor is home and it seems so weird. Much quieter, until he brings 6 or 7 of his 17 year old friends over. And he'll be leaving in a little over a year. Hugh said that then we'll be left staring at each other wondering what to do.
Kailey is beautiful and fun!
She is such a fun, beautiful girl. I'm sure she has lots of wonderful things waiting for her. I'm with you on the what to do with the kids leaving. I'm just not sure what my role is anymore. I know that when Syd leaves I will just die. Who is going to decorate my house for Christmas?!
Crap! That totally made me cry. I didn't know she was moving out. I sure love her. She truley has such a kind heart and loving and fun disposition.
Rachel- I remember your little Kaden!! I have so many thoughts on that (feeling judged as a parent based on your kids actions) oh my goodness...maybe a post for it soon!! Thx for sharing!!
19??? Are you serious!!! Where did the time go? I remember her coming over to the house in the morning before school so I could braid her hair! She is absolutely beautiful!
Someday, we really need to get together and get caught up. It's been way too long!
