I have been able to catch up on my blogging today since I stayed home from work. Actually for the first time ever I wish that I were at work. Sunday night kailey came in several times and told me she wasnt feeling well. She started throwing up and was up most of the night throwing up. Then Monday morning Kyle comes in and says the same thing. So both kailey and kyle stayed home from school yesterday and I ended up still going to work because it was too late to call in and they are older now and don't need as much help. Well at 2:30 I got a call from my friend kim who told me that makenna threw up at school and she had her. I told her to take her home with the other sick kids. I don't think that I have ever had 3 of my kids sick at the same time. Rob went home and checked on them and they all were laying on the couch with buckets on the floor. I wish I would have taken a picture. They would have been mad but it really was a site to see. So I left work early and went and got them bahama bucks cause they all wanted something cold. When I got home they were still laying on the couch with the exception of kyle he had moved to the floor. I immediately went to work spraying lysol everywhere and washing blankets etc. Rob went to the diamond backs game and when he got home I had just finally settled down for the night. I was exhausted. So this morning I made kailey go to school because she already missed testing from yesterday and couldn't miss anymore. Makenna and Kyle stayed home. Kyle has aims testing tomorrow so he will go back for sure and I think makenna is over it as well. I just hope that rob and I don't get it. This morning kyle and kailey were weighing themselves and kyle said he lost 9 pounds and kailey said 7 I think. Poor kids....I don't think they have ever thrown up so much! This is a nasty bug going around! I am a little worried because both kyle and kailey have track meets this week and I don't think they will be competing at their best. Oh well I just hope our family gets better!

Oh bummer! Sounds like a bad one! Hey... if I can convince Butch to come down, and the bug has passed at your house, can we stay there? I'm wanting to go but we'll see! Talk to you later.

Hi Rachel!

I am so so glad you posted a comment on my blog! You are now my new friend, and it's so great that you want to read my blog! I know who you are, and guess what??? I even saw you today coming out of Target! I know what you are thinking, "Shut up, you did not! Did my hair look okay?" Ha, well, that's what I would be thinking. And yes, you looked beee-utiful! You were with your son... I was with my baby in arms, anyway, now that you know our paths crossed... that is so funny! I was totally thinking to myself, I know her. She is Julie's SIL, and then thought of your blog, cause I read yours too!

Wow, this is one LONG comment!

So, I am so sad your kids were sick, isn't that the pits? Then you (try not to, but really want to) avoid them at all costs so your life isn't ruined by the sickeness. But heck, if it will help me lose 7-9 pounds, I am all over it. Bring it on!

Thank you for your kind words about my writing. I hope someday when my kids read back on some of this stuff, they will say something nice other than "Sheesh, Mom was a real coot!"

Take Care,
Kristen

P.S. I don't know the blog ettiquette either, I think we can do whatever we feel like!

I'm back, and leaving another comment... I'm not even supposed to be on the computer today, too much to do, but you know how it is, when there's chattin' to do, the other stuff can wait!

I seriously was going to say hi and just take my chances of you not knowing me. Seriously, this type of thing happens to me all the time, I feel "prompted" to go over and say hello but never do then I always regret it. In your case I saw you, thought I should at least say something, didn't, and when I got home saw you had left me a comment. What are the chances??? NEXT TIME, you couldn't stop me from saying hello!

I am so sad, but we cannot make Ammon's dinner. It's on the worst Saturday night of the month. Any other Saturday would have been perfect. I still am in shock about all this. It's sometimes too much to think about. Have fun, tell me what goes on and all that.

I love Target too. I should just take stock in it, heaven knows I keep it in business. I've had to limit myself to shopping there, I am like you, I spend WAY TOO much. But it's such a great store, what's not to love in there? Even if their trash was on sale, I'd but it too.

I did have Risa Udall as my Senior Honors English teacher. She rocked. She was who inspired me to want to be an English teacher, but that never worked out. She was like the ultimate teacher, so stern yet so so influencial. I've read her son (Brady's) books and they were both amazing. Our little town has produced some incredible people.

About how I know Jaymi and Julie, they were my old neighbors when my family lived in SJ. Jason Whiting and I graduated together in 1997. Your brother Chris, was 2 years older than me. Julie and my sister were (and still are) good friends. So, there's my connection.

Do you know anyone in my husband's family?

It's been so fun to write you! You are now on my friend link list too!

Have a super weekend!

Yes, I know Marci. She's got that cute little house by the library. Her younger brother Matt and I were only a year apart, we shared the same birthdays. Love the Jackson's, such a great family.

Oh and I was gonna say in my last comment was another teacher I adored; your Aunt Sylvia. She really was a mentor to me. I loved her. I bet you loved having so much family around.

What a mess. I hear that is really going around. I feel so sorry for ya. Should I keep Noah home from church for the next 2 weeks?
