Pasta Party

Last Thursday we hosted a "Pasta Party". These are quite popular here with the Red Mountain Cross Country team. The night before a big race they all get together and eat pasta galore, trying to get as many carbs in as possible. It was quite a packed house. We had almost 40 kids here. They all had a good time and ate more food than I thought possible. What a great bunch of teenagers. They were all well mannered and polite. I would definately let them come over again....
Next post will be the city meet. The cross country season is almost over and kyle and kailey are a little bummed!

They did those at my school too, but for soccer. It almost makes me wish I would have done some sort of sport. Almost.

HOLY COW! That's A LOT of pasta! Doesn't that make them sick? Even if they are running it off the next day, that would seem like a lot to eat before a big race. My stomach hurts just looking at it. HAHA! I'm glad your kids are involved in sports. I did band. It was fun, but I wish I would have done volleyball or softball while I was in HS.

Remember these days Rachel. They will be over faster than you can imagine and you will miss all the good times. Your family is beautiful.

that looks like so much fun. i'm a little anxious about my kids growing into those teenage years, but you're doing it the right way, you just have to make it fun to be home! great memories for them, i'm sure.
