Christmas 2008 part 1

Christmas has come and gone. I feel like I didn't really get to enjoy the season as much as I have in the past. I was working so many hours and on call so much that I really didn't get to do what I would have liked. For the first time this year I didn't even get treats made to go around to our family friends. I felt terrible. Hopefully they all realize how thankful we are to have such great friends.
We had a smaller Christmas this year which I have decided is quite alright. I talked alot with my kids about the true meaning of Christmas and I think they were all ok with it. My olders kids were great, my little ones still don't quite understand it all. We didnt have many presents under the tree, but Santa was able to pull through and get them a few things they really wanted. We woke up really late this year too. In fact I had to go wake some of the kids up to come out and see what santa left them. We had a great time watching their faces. I am still amazed at how time just keeps passing along. I can so vividly remember just having kyle and kailey and the excitement on their faces. I love more than anything having my kids. They bring me such great joy and happiness. I plan on doing nothing but enjoying every moment with them this year! Let go of all the things that weigh me down and just love my family!
